Events & services

Services, music, festivals and quiet days through the church year — all are welcome.

There is always something happening at St Nicholas. Come as you are.

Regular worship

The Sung Eucharist, our main Sunday service with music, marks the rhythm of our week — Sundays, 11.15 to 12.30. Full times are on the home page under Worship, and the prayer-times board shows what is coming next.

Through the year
  • Under One Roof summer barbecue — our end-of-summer party in aid of the Hall Roof Appeal, Saturday 19 July. All welcome; food donated and gifts added on the day.
  • Patronal Festival — we keep the feast of St Nicholas in December with a sung Mass and celebration.
  • Music & concerts — recitals and seasonal concerts in a building made for sound.
  • Christmas & Holy Week — carols by candlelight, the Crib service, and the great liturgies of Easter.
  • Quiet days & the churchyard — the church is open on Sundays after Mass and the first Saturday of each month (10–12) for prayer and stillness.
